Altered Carbon

Netflix brought VICE on board to elevate the immersive Altered Carbon premiere at Mack Sennett Studios in Los Angeles. We hosted a consumer experience following the official premiere, designed the invitation, curated a guest list and created anticipation for the series via organic and paid social reach. 

 

To tap into the sheer grittiness and body-branding elements of Altered Carbon, VICE brought in a celebrity tattoo artist Mr. Cartoon for guests to receive real tattoos in the style of cyberpunk artistry. To expand the event and tattoo experience to our mass audience, we captured and pushed content through an Instagram Story portraying the tattoo experiential environment, artists, process and finished products.

 

Our guest list, which included influencers and tastemakers, pushed content organically to their large fan bases resulting in 11MM impressions.

 

VICE’s Tattoo Parlor was the most immersive experience at the after-party generating the biggest crowds and longest lines on Thursday and Friday. From Altered Carbon actors and writers to influencers and VICE guests, the list to get a free tattoo and overall response to celebrity tattoo artist Mr. Cartoon was unprecedented.
