We created anticipation for the release of Sony Picture's Blade Runner 2049 with 2 episodes of "VICE Talks Film", 24 social assets that were localized, translated and distributed across 12 global markets (USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, UK, Australia, Japan and South Korea) and 3 written editorials ensuring foundational cross-platform reach.

The "Legacy of Blade Runner" re-educated a new audience by providing context of Blade Runner's cultural relevance via the original film's influence on cinema, fashion, pop culture and tech.

 

"The Making of Blade Runner" shifted the focus to Blade Runner 2049. We shot the episode on set in Budapest and Los Angeles, featuring exclusive interviews with Denis Villeneuve, Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling. We also shared a behind the scenes look at the film's art department, showcasing the tactile nature of the film. We met with Dennis Gassner as he showed us his artwork and the sets he built, John Neison shared his VFX approach and Doug Harlocker's approach to making the props while also honoring the integrity of the new film.

 

 The content quickly became two of the most popular videos on VICE’s digital platforms with 10MM+ video views and a 97% positive sentiment on YouTube.
